DLV Designs Hardware
Born of necessity, DLV handmade hardware sprung to life while designing our founding furniture collection. We needed a pull to go on our Abuleo bureau and while giving instructions to our lead designer (apparently unclear) Mark had asked for what became our Nance pull but the designer came back with what became the TAO. This being far to asian for the cabinet but a beautiful design none the less we kept it and went back about designing the nance. Once that design was finished we asked the team to come up with a few more ideas based on these principals. Our signature was becoming , mixed mediums, Hand / bench made, clever uses of available brass stocks, and precision execution.
Mark de la Vega founded DLV Designs, LLC. in 2009 as full service custom design/build studio. Prior to launching DLV Designs, Mark gained experience in both furniture design and production from many notable firms in New York City, including Studio Sofield. Here, he designed and supervised hundreds of one-off custom pieces while rolling out three eponymous mass-market collections for Bill Sofield. In 2012, Mark launched DLV Collection at the ICFF, which has been well-received by the industry and the public. Mark graduated with an Industrial Design degree from the Art Institute of Colorado.
